Database Backup and Recovery Service

Database Backup and Recovery Service (DBRS) provides backup and recovery services for Ping An Cloud’s databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, DDS and Redis. DBRS can not only make regular backup according to user-defined backup strategies, but also execute temporary backup initiated by users manually in real time. The backup data can be stored locally and in other places at the same time, and databases can be restored to data at any point-in-time during the backup retention period.

Value Proposition

Agentless Backup

DBRS allows agentless backup and makes backups through storage layer snapshots. Users do not have to install clients for optimizing backups and saving costs of management, operation and maintenance.

Database Consistency

When the backup is initiated, the upper application and the storage layer snapshots get into a consistent state, ensuring data consistency in seconds.

Anytime and Anywhere

Databases can be restored to temporary instances, without overwriting the original production environment. Databases can be restored to the data in any zone and at any pint-in-time specified by users.

Multi-site Fault Tolerance
